Donkey dies after big cat attack

Mountain lion. Cougar. Panther. Catamount. The big cat goes by various names. Whichever you know it by, one has been deemed responsible for serious injuries to a donkey near Cibolo Creek in eastern Wilson County recently. Nickol Sullivan, who operates Remedy Ranch Rescue on C.R. 307 at S.H. 97 not far from where the Cibolo runs, was called July 18 by a family whose donkey was attacked and mauled horribly. “Once on the scene, I assessed with my experience that the donkey was suffering and unlikely to survive her injuries,” Sullivan told the Wilson County News.
