Lady Mustangs earn third in tournament

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs continued the opening stretch of the 2026 volleyball season with a solid showing at the McMullen County volleyball tournament, battling through a competitive field and finishing third in the Silver Bracket. The multi-day tournament gave Nixon-Smiley valuable early-season court time and a chance to compete against programs from across South Texas. The Lady Mustangs faced their share of challenges throughout pool and bracket play but kept fighting, ultimately earning a spot on the podium in the Silver Bracket.
