Mainzes celebrate golden anniversary with a cruise

Robby and Joyce Mainz of San Antonio are celebrating 50 years of marriage this year. They were wed April 10, 1976, in St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Antonio. Joyce, who was a CYO softball coach, invited her team members as her special guests. During the wedding ceremony, the priest said, “There’s a fire outside. I have to stop the ceremony.” Joyce thought it was a prank by Robby’s firefighter coworkers; he had just joined the San Antonio Fire Department a couple of months before.
